Makenna Schmidt

Makenna is the hip hop teacher for the recreational program and choreographer for our competition team. She has been dancing in this style for 10 plus years and is in her 6th year teaching and choreographing. In her recreational classes she focuses on the fundamentals of the style and teaches basic hip hop technique while keeping the class fun and upbeat for all ages. Going over to the competitive side of things, she is an award winning choreographer who has won many accolades. Some including 2 “Best in Show” awards in 2021 and 2023, countless judges choice awards, and a handful of 1st overall placements. Makenna’s future plans are to become a professional dancer and dance backup for a touring artist and/or be the choreographer of one.
